In principle yes, -Bsymbolic flag is better solution than RTLD_DEEPBIND,
because
it is the property of the object, not the caller, to require specific order=
 of
resolution.

But on other principle of adding missed functions to our rtld, could you pl=
ease
test this patch before using -Bsymbolic:
