At least it helps me, many thanks for the inspiration!
I now have (and intend to keep using):

	setenv LSCOLORS "ExGxdxdxCxDxDxBxBxegeg"
	alias ls 'ls -FG -D "%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S"'
	alias ll 'ls -laFG -D "%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S"'

This is nice because I haven't found a feature of gls yet
that I needed, but which system's ls couldn't provide.
