........ one need to know the plumbling with the cables, hubs etc.
You just gave the IP's addresses, there is a NETMASK, BROADCAST,
GATEWAY address etc that has to be the same on all the boxes. In
laymans terms that means they all have to have the same "area code"
and "zip code" etc to talk on the network.
