I did the above and everything installed properly, I symlinked to the mozilla plugins directory as directed, still mozilla doesn't view java applets. I got the plug-in missing error, clicked on install plugin (from root) everything downloaded and installed correctly--still doesn't show java applets. Why is java so difficult and complicated?
