If I can help in any way, a topo map of the setup that you are facing
would be good. What do you have at either end. In the interest of
pushing 500kpps, I have this, if it helps with troubleshooting:

em0@pci1:0:0:   class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x109a8086 rev=0x00
hdr=0x00
     vendor   = 'Intel Corporation'
     class    = network
     subclass = ethernet
em1@pci2:0:0:   class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x109a8086 rev=0x00
hdr=0x00
     vendor   = 'Intel Corporation'
     class    = network
     subclass = ethernet
em2@pci3:0:0:   class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x109a8086 rev=0x00
hdr=0x00
     vendor   = 'Intel Corporation'
     class    = network
     subclass = ethernet
em3@pci4:0:0:   class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x109a8086 rev=0x00
hdr=0x00
     vendor   = 'Intel Corporation'
     class    = network
     subclass = ethernet
em4@pci5:0:0:   class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x109a8086 rev=0x00
