I've been able to get 3c905s to work OK in 2.2.x and 3.x, but you can't
buy them anymore.  The 3c905B you can buy now doesn't seem to work in
any release.  Much work has been going on on the xl driver recently
to make the 905B actually work, but I've just replaced my 905s and 905Bs.
