It always fails with +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ + There are no X aout libs on this machine. + +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I had a vanilly 3.3 stable system, and added XFree etc. from the ports. I also installed the compat22 libs, but they don't include the X aout libs. Someone said the XFree make will ask if it should install the aout compatibility libs, but it doesn't. I even enabled 'COMPAT21= yes' in /etc/make.conf (there is no COMPAT22 option) and rebuild and reinstalled X, no luck. How do I get the dreaded X aout libs onto my system?
