because (in random order):

1. ctm and ctm_rmail are shipped with FreeBSD out-of-the-box
2. you can receive deltas via eMail, and you can optionally download them
   from FTP servers
3. it therefore uses a "push"-scheme
4. it therefore could possible reduce network load (?)

Apart from that: where can I download a public key suitable to validate
the CTM mailings?
