I went through xf86config the same way I would under Linux (I'm posting this from Slackware), but when I do startx I get what looks like a garbled Gnome screen and my PC hangs up. Even CTRL-ALT-Backspace and CTRL-ALT-DEL won't work. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.
