9.0-RELEASE.  The string I have in rc.conf:

   ifconfig_le0="ether 80:01:01:01:01:01 DHCP"

dhclient runs, and the MAC address is set to that according to ifconfig 
output.

Is it possible that USB Ethernet adapters (or drivers) don't allow 
changing the MAC address?  Seems silly, but...
