That's quite a hectic bar to entry. It means that folks with no JDK must: 1) Install linux-sun-jdk14. 2) CVS update port to 1.4.1. 3) Install jdk14. 4) CVS update port to 1.4.2 5) Install jdk14. Step 1 will be handled automatically by step 3, but it's still a LOT of downloading and installing. Also, CVSup users can't easily update ports to specific versions. :-( Ciao, Sheldon.
