For example, if 'libevdev_has_event_type(device, EV_ABS)' is true, then it's a touchpad. (Maybe an additional test for 'libevdev_has_event_code(evdev, EV_KEY, BTN_TOUCH)' being true is also needed, I'm not sure). I think this can be corrected later -- if this patch will be accepted at all, improving it will be easy enough from there.
