fwiw I recommend installing from cvs, (that way you get the latest
greatest rule-set and both ACID and SNORT are very much wip, so changes are
rather frequent.
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.snort.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/snort login
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.snort.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/snort co snort
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.acidlab.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/acidlab \
login (note this is one line)
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.acidlab.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/acidlab \
co acid (note this is one line)
when prompted for password just press enter
and it's worth making sure that your versions of PHP and adodb are reasonably
recent as well.
