This may be a HAL issue, but since I updated to 2.16 I have login
sessions that never terminate. I log off of my system with several open
Gnome Terminals. When I log back in, before starting Gnome, a who(1)
shows me with multiple logins to different ptys. I find no processes
attached to these ptys and don't know of any way to release them short
of a reboot.

Any idea what is happening?
