You might install cvsup and use the stable-supfile but modify the "tag" line to read : tag=RELENG_2_0 instead of tag=RELENG_2_2 If that is a valid tag. If is and it works see if 2.0 has working x.25 if it does bump the tag to: RELENG_2_1_0 Ans see if 2.1 has x.25 support. I think 2.1 is about as far as it got with working support.
