Ladies and Gents, I have an installation problem that I noticed others have had (browsing the mailing lists on www.freebsd.org). However, the solution wasn't present, so I bring my problem here: You guessed it, it hangs when it changes rootfs to fd0, here is what gets me, I ran FreeBSD 2.1.x months ago on this same P.C., no problems whatsoever, now 2.2.6, and 1106,1107, and 1110 SNAP (3.0) all have this same problem, no other errors on the bootup, I boot -c and take all the devices my system does not have out, I have an AMD 486DX4-100, 16 megs of RAM, motherboard uses some AMD chipset I believe, not sure, its PCI/ISA, EIDE with 1 maxtor 1.2 G harddrive on the first controller, and an ATAPI ide cd-rom (Reveal-ugh) on the second controller. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Richard A.
