My opinion is I've had the scsi stuff locked up too long. It is a question of bad luck - I had some new code (scsi target, fixes to residuals, and probe printf changes (AAARRRGGGH)) ready to commit when it turned out Julian had overlapping changes to the code and I have had little time to work on this. I should have gone ahead and checked the stuff in and then gone on to merge and test his stuff. I thought it would be quicker to do it this way.
