I have a machine running FreeBSD 3.4. It continually "disappears" from the network - I can't ping it from the outside world. However, if I log on to its console and ping outwards, it suddenly reappears! I wrote a cronjob that sends a ping out every 10 minutes. Gross hack, but it seems to work! I'm not even sure this is related to the OS honestly, but I don't know where else to start. Any clues? -jsd- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
