I'm using pppd rather than iijppp. My first question is... Which ppp are others using? (You may want to respond to me directly at rene@igs.net.) The main problem I am having is that pppd does not exit when the line is dropped. I have tried two different brands of modems (14.4 and 28.8), the regular getty and mgetty, our Cyclades board and the standard serial port; nothing seems to make any difference. I have &C1 (detect carrier) set in the modem, and I am using the proxyarp, modem, -detach, and crtscts options. Thank you for any help provided.
