[-- Attachment #1 --] I seem to be having a problem with the name server on my FreeBSD 2.2.7 machine I am running a domain server on my machine ... but when I run nslookup (no parameters), it comes up with the correct server name, but it shows the address as 0.0.0.0 On the other hand, when I type: bash# nslookup - mail.cyberplaneta.net What I get is: *** Can't find server name for address 207.249.209.9: Server failed *** Default servers are not available ...and it falls back to the prompt. Yet, as I said before, when I run nslookup without any parameters it goes to the default localhost (which is the same as the mail machine) fine. The above machine is not registered with internic yet but appears in /etc/hosts. The machine is listed in the zone db file as well. Thanks to everyone in advance!!
