Hi all, in tried the hint to disable the Adaptec BIOS and now the driver detects my HD. But is that the final solution? First, i still get this funny message: aic7xxx: Loading serial EEPROM...done aic7xxx: EEPROM is not present. Second, if i disable the Bios, the HD doesn't spin up by default. It takes aeons for the driver to detect the device and spin the HD up. Third: I really would love it to use my narrow SE CD-ROM drives....
