You could try to reformat them, or even better, use new ones. When you use FreeBSD to create the floppies, use this command instead of dd: fdwrite < kern.flp fdwrite < mfsroot.flp It will format, write and verify the floppies at the same time, thus avoiding the problem of badly preformatted floppies.
