Is this a new rule? In a private mail dizzy@ told me that portversion is 'legacy' if a regular distversion is usable instead. He referred me to 'Table 2. Package Naming Examples' in the Porters Handbook. This sounded obvious to me. And I hope we didn't overinterpret that ;)
