For example, if I do echo foo.au >/dev/audio, (where foo.au is supposed to last 2 seconds) I'll hear one second of audio and then just static, and the command will NEVER end (it seems) until I hit CTRL-C. I if I play XBoing with sound turned on, after 1 second of the intro sounds it freezes and, again, I have to exit it with CTRL-C. What could be causing this? I'm using a 2.1-stable kernel with bpf and Netatalk installed... thanks, --- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charles Owens Email: owensc@enc.edu "I read somewhere to learn is to Information Technology Services remember... and I've learned that Eastern Nazarene College we've all forgot..." - King's X -------------------------------------------------------------------------
