So far I have: 1. updated to 3.1 stable. 2. uncommented pccard entries, commented out ze and zp devices and added = device wi0 line and rebuilt kernel. 3. created pccard.conf file with entry for wi0. Dmesg shows wi0 not found, pcic controller started (Vadem 469) and card = inserted in slot 0, drivers initialized for ed ep fe wi sio. Ifconfig does not show wi0 interface. Pccardd can be started ok manually. Wicontrol lists parameters = including mac address. Ifconfig of wi0 interface works. IP address = responds to ping from same host. But no communications with wireless lan and lots of device timeout = messages.
