I have the same chip on mine (Asus A7V333 w/ audio), and it gave me the same problems. I added these lines to their respective files, and the problems went away: /boot/loader.conf hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range=1 /etc/sysctl.conf hw.snd.pcm0.vchans=6 hw.snd.maxautovchans=6 kernel config has device pcm Good luck!
