It (sshd) exists with the following error: Dec 7 11:04:22 www sshd[10299]: in openpam_load_module(): no /usr/local/lib/pam_ldap.so found Dec 7 11:04:22 www sshd[10299]: fatal: PAM: initialisation failed .. and close the connection. I've read from another similar bug report (ports/132819) that the problem was caused by linking to the port version of OpenSSL but that is not the case here.
