Argh. LINT says ahc0 provides support for 274X and 284X adapters. ahc says it supports the 29/3940(U)(W) adapters, and motherboard based AIC 7870/7880 adapters. But down below, it shows up as ahc1. Is there some reason ahc is listed twice? Is the note really wrong? Is there now a sep driver for 29XX vs 27XX devices? I ask, because with the recent problems with the AHC driver, maybe they were split to handle some pathological case or something...
