After all if the FP server gets hacked due to FP extensions, what is the customer going to say? They demanded the FP extensions in the first place! Keep in mind also that a great many FP users that THINK they need FP extensions on the webserver in actuality DO NOT. Microsoft does a lot of work to blur the two because they know that some ignorant people will actually go lay out the coin for a Windows server just to run FP. But our observation is the vast majority of users use FP as a page-creation program and never use any of the FP extensions, or simply use very basic ones like a web-to-email page that can easily be duplicated with CGI. If you teach them to use FTP from Front Page to upload their pages, rather than Microsoft's icky proprietary thing, they are just as happy either way.
