Or just do as has been done for > time immemorial and leave Sendmail where it has always been ... :) For the hundred millionth time, the right way to do all of this is in the "everything is a package" approach, which everyone agrees is the right answer, but no one has turned out code to do yet. All time spent anywhere other then churning out the code for the that design is wasted. We don't need another MTA in the default system, some would argue we don't need the current on we have.
