So among the 25+'s I imagine one should try to find more specific targets: sysadmins, schools, people who actually would benefit greatly from FreeBSD. To be fair, I do not think everybody would benefit from having FreeBSD on their table, but I do think that many who would benefit from using FreeBSD have not heard a word about it. I run a lab with some 20 boxes, windows of course, and setup a FreeBSD 2.1.7 server a mere month after I first installed it just out of curiosity. The server is now 3.4-STABLE and running as good as ever. I recently have managed to have dual-boot FreeBSD on half of the lab machines. I would have used FreeBSD earlier if I only have known it was there. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Sincere Cheers, Micke PS. I also believe that simply getting the FreeBSD or *BSD letter combinations known is of great importance. Everyone have heard the 'linux'-word but few have tried it out, well, out of the general public anyways. ---------------------------------- Michael Josefsson, MSEE mj@isy.liu.se This message was sent by XFMail running on FreeBSD 3.4 ---------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-advocacy" in the body of the message
