Specifically is hotmail.com still running on FreeBSD? I work for a systems integrator and we had a Microsoft tech guy up here (in Alaska) working with us on a project. As technical types are apt to do while working at 2:00 AM we were talking about other project we have worked on. During some point one night, while we were waiting for a cluster of Win2K servers to reboot (again), he mentioned that hotmail.com was migrated to, "an entirely Microsoft based environment" except for a few "legacy" bits & pieces. Two hours of loud discussions amongst the four or five guys there that remotely searched the web & probed the hotmail.com net for some proof of this claim came up empty. So...I figured I'd ask you folks for your less-biased report of the number of FreeBSD boxes they use and what "degree" of truth there might be to his claim. While I'd never doubt a Microsoft representative from, um, stretching the truth a bit I have my own personal doubts about NT/MS Exchange supporting hotmail.com with just MS labeled products. thanks, dan garrett _______________________________________________ It's difficult to comprehend how insane some people can be.
