I'm considering buing one "Samsung S183 18x DVD±R/RW DL, S-ATA" drive to
use with my intel DG965SS desktop board where the Marvell ATA controller
is not yet supported.

Will a SATA DVD burner work as well as an ATA connected drive? I know
there have been issues in the past, and I can't find anything in the man
pages for 6.2 or current. (which is what the box will run)

/Martin
