TBH, I don't remember. I would _assume _it updates the index instead of delete+recreate, but no guarantees. There's another option. Update serviio before going to bed and let it rescan while you sleep. I have been using serviio for ages, mostly in linux-compatib= le OSes and in windows.

My worries are not about the media folder tree but the servi= io derby database under /var/db in your version, in <serviio_home_dir>= ;/db in Linux and Solaris.

Will that have to be rebuilt?
That takes about three to= four hours with my 8TB media store...

If the index db is destroyed the best way to upgrade to 2.4 = would be to install your new port in a new jail, let that instance scan and= index the media tree, and then move clients over to use the new jail servi= io dlna server and later scrap the old jail.

TBH, I don't remember. I would assume it updates th= e index instead of delete+recreate, but no guarantees.

There's another option. Update serviio before going to bed a= nd let it rescan while you sleep.
