You seem to be proposing several approaches. One is to make wantfreevnodes bigger (half or three-quarters of the maximum). Another seems to be reverting to the previous (freevnodes >= wantfreevnodes && numvnodes >= minvnodes). So what is your proposed change? Kirk McKusick
