Dude.. :P  You know you're not supposed to compile with -O2.

Can I close the PR?  I'll try to be as nice as possible with
the comment I use for closing it. :)  I promise. :) :)

btw, I nabbed that sig from someplace else, I completely forget
the source though. :(
