In the future please consider that we want quarterly branches to be stable for both features *and* security. There are often exceptions such as browsers and other software that users will expect to be the latest, but irssi would have been fine to leave at 0.8.21 in quarterly for another 3 months. I appreciate your work and effort to MFH; do not take this as a criticism of your contributions.
