If you use Van's grabber-meteor.cc you shall experience nearly flawless behavior. With the old grabber-meteor.cc the card still misses some frames so there is still some work to do in this area. In the mean time vic users please use Van's grabber-meteor.cc which you can find in the latest bt848 driver upgrade: ftp://rah.star-gate.com/pub/bt848.tar.gz We are still not done with vic given that as Luigi alluded there is ample room for improvement.
