A * binary package built with support for them still works fine for C and * C++ on a system without guile and python. What I'm saying is that, if the configure scripts detects those and builds a binary that requires guile/python/whatever, those should either be put in *_DEPENDS or explicitly disabled before configure is run. Otherwise we'll ship an inconsistent package. * I disabled guile in configure options and added a note for those with * 1.2 installed. I left python support because the python port is for a * version that works. That's fine for guile, but for python, please refer to my paragraph above. If a binary built on a system with python can run on a system without python, that's fine; otherwise, we need to do something about it. Satoshi
