No matter what I do, any sound I try to play locks up the machine. I've set it up to the best of my knowledge, and cat /dev/sndstat shows it as working properly. I've added device pcm and cd /dev && sh MAKEDEV I've exhausted any ideas from the handbook, manpages, usenet and other users. Any ideas?
