I experience this problem on my home 2.2.8 box and at work on a 3.3-RC. The PPP daemon being run in -direct mode sometime does not understand that the modem hanged up, and does not want to quit and let the mgetty to take the control. More: daemon runs in -direct mode at work, at home it is run manually, and the same problem. Modem disconnects, but PPP does not redial. What it can be and what I can do about it? Thank you in advance! With best wishes, Oles' Hnatkevych, http://gnut.kiev.ua, gnut@fc.kiev.ua Finance & Credit Banking Corporation, Kyiv, Ukraine.
