There is a question that is passing through my head: using nanoBSD as shown=
 in
the comment above, and using "pkg -c ${NANO_WORLDDIR}", isn't  ${NANO_WORLD=
DIR}
a chroot'ed  root-path then? In such a case it would explain why pkg can not
find the file:///... , since its entry point is not visible anymore.

Just a guess, I'll try to mount the repos base path into ${NANO_WORLDDIR}.
