I did not realize we compile it into the kernel.. On BeagleBone and RPi, an earlier boot loader loads the appropriate FDT into a known location in memory and ubldr(8) then passes that FDT to the kernel. Most of our ARM systems are still compiling the FDT into the kernel. Tim
