I meant SIGTERM not SIGKILL and much of the rest is simply disgusting. It shows a complete lack of workmanship. It works, but that's not the point. I use Perl far too much - my C has just been shown to be distinctly rusty. And yes, I've had style(9) pointed out to me again.
