Hetzel" To: "FreeBSD-Ports" Subject: ports/6915: DSO support for FrontPage Module Date: Sat, 20 Jun 1998 11:04:13 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 5.00.0518.4 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.00.0518.4 Sender: owner-freebsd-ports@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org I finally was able to make the FrontPage Module work as a Dynamically Shared Object (DSO) w/apache v1.3. Now I only have one problem to fix. How to remove the patches to the apache source, and make the FrontPage module self-contained? If anybody has an Ideal let me know. Eventually, I would like to see the FrontPage port work as follows: 1. Depends on the apache13 port being installed 2. Compiles & Installs the FrontPage Module as a DSO 3. Installs the FrontPage Extensions The Updated apache-fp port for Apache v1.3 is available at: http://www.westbend.net/~hetzels/apache-fp Should PR ports/6915 be canceled, or do you think we'll need an apache13-fp port until the FrontPage module is ready to be submitted as a self-contained DSO.
