If you use zsh, use this:
#pkg_delete completion (according to the manpage)
compctl -g '/var/db/pkg/*(:t)' -x \
's[-]' -k (v D n f p) - \
'c[-1,-p]' -g '*(D-/)' -- \
pkg_delete
