It is the equivalent of the BIOS on i386/IBM-PC machines
and will be built in to the machine.

If you are looking for the standard, it is available

A BSD-licensed implementation of OpenFirmware is said to
be available at:
http://opensparc-t1.sunsource.net/download_sw.html,
and a GPL'ed implementation at: "http://www.openbios.info/".
