Broadcom= devices are, alas all too common :( Anyway I dug an old iMac out of stor= age and installed a recent CURRENT (r300836) since I knew the wifi chip i= n it to be some variant of the BCM4322. After uncommenting all needed lines (=3F) in the Makefile regarding GNU P= HY support I loaded bwn=5Fv4=5Fucode, bwn=5Fv4=5Fn=5Fucode and if=5Fbwn.= Upon checking dmesg I got this: siba=5Fbwn0: mem 0xd0200000-0xd= 0203fff,0xd0000000-0xd00fffff irq 17 at device 0.0 on pci3 siba=5Fbwn0: warn: multiple PCI(E) cores siba=5Fbwn0: unsupported coreid (USB 1.1 Host) bwn0 on siba=5Fbwn0 bwn0: failed device=5Fattach: bwn0 attach returned 6 So, the driver doesn=E2=80=99t attach :( Since my understanding of drivers is well, lacking, is there anything I c= ould do to get this specific version of BCM4322 to work=5B1=5D=3F I would= be glad to provide any information needed. =5B1=5D That is to get the driver to attach. I have no illusions regardin= g functionality, this is after all a Broadcom chipset=21 -- /H=C3=A4lsningar Bj=C3=B6rn On Thursday 19 May 2016 at 09:01, Adrian Chadd wrote: > Hiya, > =20 > I managed to get the BCM4321 and BCM4322 working.
