Hi Alpha gurus, I hope you can help with my problem, it is probably a FAQ but I didn't find the answer easily. I am trying to install 3.2-RELEASE on an 164LX board, but I'm not getting very far. When I try to boot kern.flp from the SRM console I get: >>>boot dva0 (boot dva0.0.0.0.0 -flags 0) block 0 of dva0.0.0.0.0 is a valid boot block reading 14 blocks from dva0.0.0.0.0 bootstrap code read in base = 5e2000, image_start = 0, image_bytes = 1c00 initializing HWRPB at 2000 initializing page table at 5d4000 initializing machine state setting affinity to the primary CPU jumping to bootstrap code Here it just hangs. The floppy light comes on but I think this is bogus. The board has 512Mb installed. I am not at all familiar with SRM, having only just installed it. Is there some documentation for it? Do I need to tell it anything other than just ``boot dva0''? Many thanks, /.J To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
