When I switched from FreeBSD 1.1.5.1 to FreeBSD 2.X (don't remember exactly the release), then the Xyplex Terminal Server of my ISP simply hung (the whole t-server!). The problem could be tracked down. So after disabling VJ compression completely on the Xyplex for my machine (ppp account) cured the problem. We didn't try -currents ppp vj compression 'til yet. -- andreas@knobel.gun.de /\/\___ Wiechers & Partner Datentechnik GmbH Andreas Klemm ___/\/\/ - Support Unix - aklemm@wup.de - \/ ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/system/Printing/aps-491.tgz apsfilter - magic print filter 4lpd >>> knobel is powered by FreeBSD <<<
